Join as we undertake an amazing double investigation of the wonderful Clitheroe Castle and Eerie Pendle Hill.

Clitheroe Castle is a wonderful motte and bailey norman castle which is believed to have been built in 1186. Originally built  as an administritive centre for Robert De Lacy's vast estate Clitheroe Castle has dominated the skyline of this Lancashire town for over 800 years and has a very long and interesting history.

Clitheroe Castle is situated just a stones throw from the infamous Pendle Hill. Legend has it that the Devil threw a boulder from the top of Pendle Hill; the boulder hit the castle and created the hole that we see today.

Pendle Hill is best known for the famous Pendle Witch Trials which took place here in 1612. However; it's history goes much further back than that as a Bronze Age burial site has been discovered at the summit of the hill. It is also the site where George Fox had a "vision" which subsequently led to him founding the Quaker Movement.

What to Expect on the Investigation

We will meet at the castle for 7pm and make our way to Pendle hill where you will have the chance to investigate and take a look around the infamous locations and maybe even make your way to the top of the hill. This will be the start of our Witch finding quest!

Then back to the castle to continue our investigation where you will be split into groups for closer vigils. The castle steeped in history and stories will be where a tour by Simon Entwistle will guide us through the importance of the foundations of the investigation.

During the night you will be guided by our Experienced Investigators who have a wealth of experience in leading and conducting Paranormal Investigations.

We will have scientific equipment available to for you to use and aid you in your investigation.

The night will consist of 45 minutes – 1 hour vigils where you will make your way to an area of the building to investigate. There will then be a break for refreshments which are provided to you free of charge before heading out to investigate a different part of the building.
